Participation of D Media at Managing Performing Arts Across Europe seminar, Sofia
Participation of Nita Mocanu from D Media in a cultural management seminar that was organized by Red House Centre for Culture and Debate in Sofia, Bulgaria in collaboration with THEOREM in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The networking seminar also included a presentation of D Media projects by Nita Mocanu. [ www.redhouse-sofia.org ]

Presentation of D Media projects during Big Step, Sarajevo
Big Step: Second Communications University SEE in Bosnia & Herzegovina was a conference on the advances of information society in the ‘transition' countries, as well as a network meeting that brought together new media initiatives in the SEE region. Liviu Pop presented D Media activities (net.radio and other net culture projects).


October 29 - November 2, 2003
Presentation of D Media at RAM 3, Tallinn
Presentation by Joanne Richardson of D Media projects during "Reapproaching New Media" (RAM 3) at the E-Media Center of the Art Academy in Tallinn. RAM is a series of seminars in Baltic countries focused on building networks betweem media initiatives in different regions. The seminar in Tallinn focused on media organizations that are engaged in alternative education.



November 7 - 9, 2003
Participation of D Media at InterAudio seminar, Halle
Andrei Costina and Liviu Pop of D Media presented the history of free media in Romania at a seminar organized by Radio Corax, a free radio with a team of 180 volunteers with programing for ethnic minorities in Halle. During the seminar the possibility of cooperation between Radio Corax and Zero Frquency Radio was also discussed. [ http://www.radiocorax.de ]


April 29 - May 1, 2004
Participation of D Media in Trans_european Picnic, Novi Sad
Joanne RIchardson, Nita Mocanu and Andrei Costina of D Media participated in [ Trans_european Picnic: The Art and Media of Accession ], an event organized by [ Kuda.org ] on the occassion of the creation of a new border in Europe as the result of the enlargement of the European Union. The seminar-picnic included presentations of new media initiatives in the region.


June 11 - 13, 2004
Presentation of D Media at FM@dia Forum, Prague
Joanne Richardson and Mihai Pedestru of D Media participated in FM@dia: Connecting Free Media, a conference and networking meeting for free radios and new media initiatives in Central/Eastern Europe. During the event different D Media projects were presented, including Zero Frequency Radio and the current video project, Real Fictions.


January 26 - 29, 2006
Presentation of D Media projects at Arte Fiera, Bologna
Joanne Richardson and Nita Mocanu of D Media participated in "Methods II: Workshop on Relations between Art and Society," organized by [ Fundazione Pistoletto ] and [ Artfactories ] at the art fair (Arte Fiera) in Bologna. The workshop brought together groups in Europe and Africa that use art for social change. The public presentation included a screening of the video "Paint Romanian."


October 29 - 31, 2006
Participation of D Media in Domains of Action in Media Art workshop, Dortmund
Joanne Richardson of D Media participated in a workshop organized at [ Hartware MedienKunst ] in Dortmund. The workshop included presentations of specific media art initiatives in different European countries as well as a more theoretical discussion about the background assumptions of media art and the continuing relevance of the adjective "media" in media art.


July 2, 2007
Presentation of D Media projects at Broeneist, Amsterdam
Joanne Richardson, Nita Mocanu and Marius Stoica made a presentation of D Media's recent video projects at Broeneist, a center for political debate in Amsterdam. The event was organized by EYFA: European Youth for Action, and included a discussion with other video collectives: Navinki from Belarussia and Ak Kraak from Germany.
