My name is Nicoleta Mocanu, but I was always called Nita.
I studied at the Art University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania graphic techniques from 1995 to 2000, and photo/ video MA from 2000 to 2002. I was born in Arad, I lived in Arad, Cluj-Napoca and in Bucharest.
I usually use video as a medium for my art, searches, but also installations and photo.
In the beginning I could define my art works trough the care for kipping my feeling and emotions fresh and sincere, but over the time I realised that they are not only about one feeling, emotion or another, they are about affectivity in general. Piece by piece the affects are taking over you, they are invading you when you let them be free in their own sense, only than you can realise that they are not only enriching your life but also defining it. All my art works are shaped by my relations with people that I meet in my life. My inspiration lies at the level of my every day life experience, in the sphere of my emotional interaction with people as family, friends and strangers.
