I made this project in a house found with the help of a friend. The project was a game. You had to find out what happed with the person that lived in the house. It was an imaginary character. In reality nobody disappeared.
The idea came from a poem “Prayer for peace” written by St. Francis de Assisi .
In the house in the last room, on the carped you could read this poem, in a book with only one white page. This was the reading key of the project. The person in the house transformed himself, became something else, on the border of reality and imagination, by his desire. In the proximity of the things surrounding you, or the people surrounding you , you are softly transforming, at an indistinguishable level yet. One day you may find out that you are not perceivable any more.
I asked the people visiting the house to look around for am answer. The last room was dark with black light . With white thread I traced the lines of the room, only this lines where visible, when entering in the room you were entering a 3D drawing of the space and of the objects inside the space. There were also pictures on the wall, details from a landscape, details of a wood. There was also a kitchen in the house, where I also putted some clues, hidden in between the original images on the wall you could fine some photos. In this series of photos I tried to suggest a state of tension, a sense of inside precipitation. Being close to the woods, I had the sensation that I could become one with it, like living part of it. On the table you could look trough a family photo album, slowly by the end of the album people were replaced by landscapes. The video in the hall way between the kitchen and the last room was the representation of a letter from my sister, she is saying in this letter that I should value the gifts that I received from God, the video is filmed in the same wood that appears in the photos. The gifts are flowers and chocolate fallen from the sky.
I realized this project more by intuition than theory. Now looking back at my project I can justify my work trough Deleuze and Guattari ‘s- Space and the Social …
